Government
This section is provided to assist you in locating information about the governance of the Town, local municipalities, the County and some of the State agencies.
The Town was incorporated in 1953, and is one of five municipalities in Indian River County:
- the City of Vero Beach, the County seat;
- the City of Sebastian, the largest in population;
- the City of Fellsmere, the first to incorporate in the County;
- and the Town of Orchid, a one-neighborhood community.
There are several communities in Indian River County that are not incorporated, such as Winter Beach, Gifford, Wabasso, Oslo, and Roseland.
Please refer to the Town Council page for information specific to the Town, brief biographies of the Town Council, and a link to the Town Attorney's information.
